Getting there with public transport

Train/ bus to Leeuwarden
From Amsterdam/ Zwolle 2 trains every hour. Total route takes one hour.
From Zwolle 2 trains an hour: 19/ 52, every hour. Total route takes one hour.
From Groningen 2 trains an hour: 20/ 51, every hour. Total route 50 minutes.

On Foot:

Train station Leeuwarden > Kanaalstraat
Walk from the station hall, go to your right. Follow until the stoplight crossing and go left, you’ll see the Building Amicitia in front of you.

Harlingen

Tourist Info Harlingen offers possibilities for logdes and cultural activities in the city and surroundings. Hotels, pensions, apartments, ware houses, farms, but also the rescue boat, the lighthouse and the harbour crane loan themselves for a wilful stay.

Parking is posible in the city centre: Voorstraat, Vismarkt, Grote Bredeplaats, Havenplein, Kleine Bredeplaats, Lanen, Noorderhaven en Simon Stijlstraat :  € 0,30 / 20 minutes.

Train
From Leeuwarden 2 trains an hour: 9/ 31, every hour. Total route 25 minutes.

Costs for paid parking € 0,50 / hour, except at Meldij and Reidingweg: € 0,30/ hour. At the Kiryat Onoplein, the Leerlooierstraat and the Moleneind Noordzijde is parking free. In Parking lot at the Knobeldorffplein the costs are € 1,00 /1,5 uur, € 2,00/ 1,5 till 4 hour, € 3,20/ longer than 4 hours.

From Groningen to Leeuwarden: follow direction Drachten A7/ E22. Take turn 30 Oosterwolde, direction Drachten. Take direction Leeuwarden. Total time 45 minutes.

Follow direction Drachten A7/ E22. Take turn 30 Oosterwolde, direction Drachten. Take turn 30a Ureterp, follow direction Drachten Centrum. You’ll pass two traffic circles. At the third traffic circle (Van Knobeldorffplein) take te second turn. After 200m take the second turn (Burgemeester Wuiteweg), follow curved street to the left.
Total time 27 minutes.

Train

Leeuwarden: 20/51, every hour. Total time 50 minutes.

Harlingen: Train to Leeuwarden: 20/51, every hour. Transfer to train to Harlingen 20/31 every hour. Total route 1,5 hour.

Bus

Drachten: bus 100 to Heerenveen, 16 every hour, stop Van Knobelsdorffplein. Transfer to bus 14 to Leeuwarden, 59, every hour, stop busstation. Total time one hour.

Beetsterzwaag: bus 100 to Heerenveen, 16 every hour, stop Van Knobelsdorffplein. Transfer to bus 10 to Heerenveen 59, every hour, stop Hoofdstraat Beetsterzwaag.
